Amy Hood currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Microsoft Corporation. Having joined Microsoft in 2002 holding positions in the investor relations group. She also served as chief of staff in the Server and Tools Business as well as running the strategy and business development team in the Business division. Previously, she worked at Goldman Sachs in various roles including investment banking and capital markets groups. Hood holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Duke University in 1994 and an MBA from Harvard University. She currently sits at the #28 spot in the Forbes World’s 100 Most Powerful Women list
Avinash Rugoobur, an experienced executive, joined Arrival as Chief of Strategy following an impressive 16 years in the mobility industry. Rugoobur started his career at General Motors where he eventually led innovation activities at GM’s Silicon Valley Office. During
this time he led the $1 Bn acquisition of Cruise Automation. This was a pivotal moment for the autonomous vehicle industry, as well as the formation of startups – OEMs relationships . After identifying and developing business engagement with a further 500 startups, Rugoobur left GM to start his own venture – Curve Tomorrow, an innovation and technology consulting company..
In 2017 Rugoobur returned full time to Silicon valley as Head of Strategy for GM Cruise Automation. Following Softbank VC investment and GM Cruise’s investment in Honda, Rugoobur ensured GM Cruises’ valuation increase from $1Bn to $14Bn.
Avinash brings to Arrival a wealth of experience in the startup and OEM world as well as a unique ability to identify societal shifting technology trends. He is well poised to steer Arrival’s mission in making electric vehicles mainstream.
Mike Froman serves as vice chairman and president, Strategic Growth for Mastercard. In that role he is responsible for growing strategic partnerships, scaling new business opportunities, and advancing the company’s efforts to partner with governments and other institutions to address major societal and economic issues. He and his team drive financial inclusion and inclusive growth efforts and work to develop new businesses key to the company’s strategic growth.
Mike oversees the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth and is a member of the company’s management committee. Prior to joining Mastercard, Mike was affiliated with the Council on Foreign Relations and continues to serve as a distinguished fellow. From 2013 to 2017, Mike served as the U.S. Trade Representative, President Barack Obama’s principal advisor and negotiator on international trade and investment issues. During his tenure, Mike worked to open foreign markets for U.S. goods and services, reach landmark trade agreements and enforce the rights of American workers, farmers and firms.
Lady Worthington was the lead author in the team which drafted the UK’s 2008 Climate Change Act. This landmark piece of legislation requires the UK to reduce its carbon emissions to a level 80% lower than its emissions in 1990. At the time Worthington was working with Friends of the Earth working on their Big Ask campaign, but was seconded to government to help design the legislation.
The Electric Vehicle (EV) Trading Scheme and Road Usage Duty (Consultation) Bill received its first reading on Thursday 23 January. Introduced by Baroness Worthington, it is a Bill to provide for a public consultation on the introduction of a trading obligation on vehicle manufacturers to increase the proportion of EVs sold and on the introduction of a road usage duty to reduce transport carbon emissions; and to provide for graduated rates of duty to apply to modified vehicles.
In 2019 Nigel was appointed by the UK Government as the COP26 high level champion for industry and policy to meet the climate change challenge.
Nigel is the former CEO of We Mean Business, which harnesses business leadership to drive the innovations and policies that accelerate action on climate change. It was instrumental in achieving the ambitious Paris Agreement in 2015. Previously, he was executive director of CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project).
Nigel has 18 years’ experience in the manufacturing sector, most recently as a member of the MBO team who took TMD Friction private and built it into the number one global brake pad manufacturer. Nigel is a commissioner on the Energy Transitions Commission and a member of the Daimler Integrity and Responsibility Board. He’s also a Director of the London Pension Fund Authority – appointed by Mayor Sadiq Khan to ensure implementation of his commitment to decarbonize the portfolio.
He is a member of the Grantham Institute on Climate and Environment advisory board at LSE and Imperial College, and sits on the boards of the Science Based Targets initiative and Schumacher College.
Patrick O. Brown is CEO and founder of Impossible Foods, a company at the forefront of making nutritious, delicious meat and dairy products from plants to satisfy meat lovers and address the environmental impact of animal farming.
The idea for Impossible Foods came to Pat while he was on sabbatical from his position as an HHMI investigator and professor of biochemistry at the Stanford University School of Medicine. In reflecting on how he could use his training and experience to make the largest positive impact on the world, he realized there was a way to make delicious, affordable meat and dairy products, directly from plants – that would be better for the environment and for consumers. In 2011, Pat chose to devote himself full time to Impossible Foods.

On day 1, Benioff created the 1-1-1 model of philanthropy, which leverages the resources of Salesforce to improve communities around the world. Today, more than 5,000 companies have adopted the 1-1-1 model through the Pledge 1% movement.
NIO was founded in November 2014 by William Li, the Chairman of Bitauto and NextEV.
In October 2016, NIO announced that it had been given an “Autonomous Vehicle Testing Permit” by the California DMVand it would begin testing on public roads under the “Autonomous Vehicle Tester Program” guidelines as part of its autonomous vehicle program. According to the company, it planned to launch vehicles with level-three and level-four autonomy.
In May 2018, NIO opened its first battery swap station in the Nanshan District of Shenzhen, Guangdong, China, dubbed the “Power Swap Station”. Only batteries for ES8 cars would be available from this station.
In September 2018, the company filed for a US$1.8 billion initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange.
William Li currently also serves as the vice chairman of CADA (China Automotive Dealers Association) and was recognized by CADA in 2008 as one of the top 10 most influential and distinguished people in China’s automobile dealer industry over the last twenty years. William Li received his bachelor’s degree in sociology from Peking University where he minored in law.
Ted was appointed Global Director, BEV in Oct, 2017. He is responsible for leading strategy & business execution for Team Edison (TE).
In 2011 Ted was CEO of FordSollers, a joint venture between Ford Motor Company and Sollers. Previously he was Deputy GM, Ford Otosan, a joint venture with Koc Group in Turkey. He was responsible for overseeing the manufacturing of Transit commercial vans and Cargo heavy trucks for export globally, as well as the marketing, sales & service of Ford products in Turkey.
For the four years prior, Ted held various executive positions in Marketing. His responsibilities included U.S. revenue management, U.S. advertising and marketing and strategy for export markets (e.g. Middle East, Africa, Korea, etc.). Ted began his career at Ford in 1989 as a Profit Analyst in Dearborn. He worked 11 years in finance, including assignments in Brazil and the United States. For two years, he was Ford Andina Finance Director in Venezuela, until he became President, Ford Argentina.
Ted graduated from Indiana University, with an MBA in Business-Finance, following undergrad at the University of Michigan, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy.
Pierce joined Jaguar Land Rover’s aerodynamics department in 2014 as a graduate engineer, following her degree at Oxford University.
Quickly promoted to Global Technology and Innovation Press Officer Imogen worked to position Jaguar Land Rover as a Global UK success story.

Launched the world’s first climate change consultancy through the UK Hadley Center and managing the global communications of multiple IPCC reports Ross moved into tech spent the last 10 years working with companies such as Uber, Lamborghini, TechStars, European Innovation Academy, Virgin and hundreds of start-ups, VCs and government departments to accelerate growth globally.
In 2019, Ross wrote the global policy initiative – PACE to support public listed companies to transition to carbon net zero.
